According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the social determinants of health (SDOHs) are the circumstances in which people are born, grown, live, work, and age. These circumstances impact the health and wellbeing of people, and are the result of the distribution of money, power and resources, worldwide, but also at national and local levels. SDOHs make visible the inequities and injustices in which people can live.
